In Blackfoot for shopping and stopped here for dinner. We had the camarones al mojo and enchiladas suiza. Both were delicious! The service was fast and cheery.
The cucumber margarita I got today is my favorite mixed drink I have had in a very long time! and the shrimp cocktail was the best I have ever had. They also have great staff and is also a locally owned business. Definitely a 5/5
My wife and I went the opening night. The waiting staff was very attentive and on-the-ball. The food was excellent, and there was a lot of it! My wife and I had leftovers. We both really enjoyed our meals, she got tacos and I got the Steak Mexicano! The complementary chips, salsa, and refried beans were fantastic (the mild salsa was just a tad spicy, which I love, but just a heads up for whoever doesn't care for that). The atmosphere is really nice as well. The paintings, and music complemented the food that this establishment serves. I know Blackfoot has a bunch of Hispanic restaurants already, but this one has its own flare. I will definitely be going back.
First time at this place and it was great! Really good and friendly service and the fajitas were amazing! I don’t live in Blackfoot anymore but I’ll be sure to come back when I’m in town. You should eat here. A lot!
Seated quickly, everything looked clean. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. My husband ordered two item meal, chili relleno and chicken enchilada, he said the chili relleno was the best! I had the pork carnitas, very tasty and tender, a lot of meat. This was our first time eating at Los Gavilanes, will definitely be back.
We came here on a Monday for lunch. They offer chips, salsa, and refried beans which is nice. The refried beans needed a little bit of salt. My wife ordered a pork torta, which was huge. It was the size of a dinner plate and I’m very large. The pork was pretty greasy making the bottom bun come apart, but overall it was very good and very filling. We both ate half of the torta and could’ve not had anything else to eat and would’ve been fine. I ordered the Idaho burrito. The Idaho burrito was very cheesy and had steak and french fries in it. It was very delicious and it came with a smoky sauce that was fun to try. I enjoyed the food here and I would recommend giving it a shot if you’re in the area.
